If you want to form a political party/voting bloc, please note it below along with an explanation on its platform/policies (these may be further developed over time). These will form the current parties going forward.

Constructionist Party
Brief Overview: Primarily, but not exclusively, made up of developing planets who are relatively new to the Federation. This party encourages a greater sharing of technology and resources, and has a vision of building a Federation that is more "hands on" in assisting new worlds while being largely "hands off" in governance of the same worlds.
General Beliefs:
For:
+Sharing Technologies w/in the Federation
+Sharing Resources & Investing in Infrastructure (particularly on developing planets)
+Respecting cultural differences within the Federation while maintaining unity
+Decentralizing power from the Federation and giving more power to Member-states to govern themselves
+Easing the process to become a Federation Member
Against:
-Wars, conflicts, and foreign entanglements--unless absolutely critical for the protection of the Federation and its interests
-Unnecessary intervention in local affairs
-"Over-investment" in Starfleet (Constructionists tend to support the exploration mission of Starfleet, but are wary of the idea of building up the military focus of Starfleet too much)
More details and a platform likely to come later, but wanted to get the party "registered"!

A primarily Vulcan party that acts in accordance with the teachings of Surak and the Kir'Shara. The only political party on Vulcan.

Federalist Party
Quick Rundown on Ideals: The Federalist party wants a stronger federal government while still having the Federation be decentralized, We also support the sharing of technology and resources within the Federation and expanding the Federation, also of course the party is in favor of Social Equality.
General Beliefs:
For:
+Sharing technology within the Federation.
+Investing in Infrastructure and Resources.
+Stronger Federal Government but Still having the Federation be Decentralized.
+Maintaining Peace with other Powers.
+Having a more Armed and Militaristic Starfleet that is heavily focused on exploration and peacekeeping but ready to turn into a military defense force in times of war to protect the Federation.
+Keeping the Process to become a Federation Member as it is, but the Party is still for the Expansion of the Federation.
Against:
-Easing the process to become a member planet of the Federation and making it quicker.
-Unnecessary wars, conflicts, and getting into foreign political and legal entanglements unless necessary to the protection and security of the Federation.
-Decentralization to a great extent.
