Personality:
Tabor is a restless soul with mannerisms peculiar to most Bajoran clergy. While he is deeply spiritual and has a solid understanding of Theology and Philosophy, he also has a great love for politics and culture and enjoys imbibing in world pursuits often shunned by other clergy.
Tabor is a light-hearted soul who enjoys the finer things in life. He's just as likely to officiate a religious service as he is to throw a party--with copious amounts of alcohol, naturally. He is not afraid to cross the lines few priests dare, and enjoys interacting with people in unique situations.
Tabor can be extremely flirtatious, and his humor can be disarming and surprising to outside observers. Beneath the humor and frivolity, however, lies a soul struggling with seemingly unanswerable questions and sorrow which have led him far off the path he thought that he would walk.
Strengths & Weaknesses:
Tabor is an extremely intelligent man who has a unique mind that brings a unique approach to solving problems. His unorthodox ways of dealing with situations have allowed him to address seemingly impossible challenges with a simple, yet unpredictable, methodology. In addition, Tabor has a very warm personality that makes those around him feel comfortable. He is able to handle administrative challenges quite well, and is always diplomatic in his dealings. Tabor is also politically adroit and has navigated the corridors of power well for someone so young, becoming one of the youngest Vedeks in the history of the Assembly.
Tabor's flirtatiousness, while charming to many, can be off-putting to some. He frequently pursues men around him he finds attractive, and often ends up in all sorts of trouble. Although his ability to solve problems through unorthodox means is often a plus, it often causes him to miss the obvious textbook approach which can needlessly complicate a situation. Tabor deeply cares about the needs and issues of others, but does a poor job of addressing his own needs and issues, and is not quick to share them with others. Over the years, Tabor has increasingly slid towards becoming an alcoholic.
Hobbies & Interests:
Tabor is a very spiritual man, and during his free time he can often be found meditating around various quiet areas of the Federation Council building. Tabor also leads religious services which he provides an open invitation for any interested persons of any race or religion to attend every week.
Tabor is also fascinated by music, both in traditional and unorthodox ways. He can often be found in isolated areas of the Council offices singing Bajoran, Human, and Klingon opera, various Human show tunes, or to chant (both Bajoran and Gregorian hymns). He is also fascinated by the different sounds of the Council complex, and can occasionally be found meditating in several unique areas around the complex. When confronted by new people who are not aware of his unusual appreciation for the sounds of the area, he simply replies that he is "listening to the symphony that surrounds us."
Additionally, Tabor enjoys spy novels on the holodeck, as well as a good performance of Gilbert and Sullivan--especially the Pirates of Penzance, which he often sings frequently in his office while attending to his duties.
